New York born, Sophia Angelica is a very special talent. Growing up she embraced her Argentinian ancestry by learning Spanish and her mother, owner of an acting school, placed her in bilingual acting classes. This was a great move and Sophia found her passion for the arts and in particular, music. Sophia began writing as well as performing from an early age and gained experience by performing at various venues and events across the state.
At the age of 13 she appeared in her first television show, “Good Day New York” on Fox. Sophia combined her vocal talents together with her acting ability by being the voice of the “singing rabbit” in three episodes of “The Enchanted Forest” for Dora the Explorer on Nickelodeon. Sophia has become an inspiration for many by writing her heartwarming songs and performing at many cause-related events at the United Nations and other major venues. Recently Sophia performed at Broadway Tonight! in the Treehaus venue near Times Square and was cast by the Cleveland Playhouse in the “Care Program Monologues”, a project created in order to help youth in schools. Sophia is constantly re-booked to perform at annual events, award shows and festivals.
Currently, Sophia is working on a new, contemporary album and appears in various TV, Radio commercials, and voice overs for different products. All of her experiences have helped in her becoming the professionally rounded girl she now is. At the age of 19years, she is a freshman at Rutgers University majoring in Journalism and Media Studies and minoring in Creative Writing.

Nicole Toro is the total package. The captivating Latina artist/singer/songwriter embodies the essence of music—a lost art in the age of streaming services. Toro’s passionate, soulful voice takes listeners on a journey through a world where freedom and joy balance sorrow and injustice. Born in New York City and raised in Yonkers, she studied opera and Broadway as a child. Growing up, she developed her taste and talent by singing salsa music, pop music and R&B tunes.
Toro’s musical career began in the mid-1990s when she would sing for jingles and commercials such as: Huggies, Oscar Meyer and Pepsi, just to name a few. Eventually, she learned how to read and play music through different instruments, such as the clarinet and piano. Unfortunately, in 1997, she was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Yet, she felt musically it never kept her at a standstill. Instead, she worked feverishly on her paramount instrument—her voice.
In the early 2000s, Toro and several friends combined their passion for salsa and created a band, La Evidencia. The following four years, she sang throughout the Tri-State area to packed clubs, lounges, parades and festivals. In her salsa career she had the opportunity to sing with Hector Casanova, Milly Quezada, Jose Alberto “El Canario,” Fania legend Larry Harlow, Marlow Rosario and many others.
In addition, Toro has had the opportunity to sing the “National Anthem,” at CitiField, MetLife, Citizens Bank Park, and at events for companies and organizations such as: The Puerto Rican Family Institute, 100 Hispanic Women of Westchester, Goya Foods, Inc., just to name a few. She also sings for the St. Mary’s Church choir in Yonkers, and currently sings with a salsa band, Luisito Rey y La Dinamica. Toro’s all about good music, good vibes, and good people.
Toro resides in Yonkers, New York. She has received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. And she is currently a board member of AYUDA and 100 Hispanic Women of Westchester.
